More than just Rioja £75pp
The future of Spain’s wines lies in its roots: indigenous varieties and traditional practices are being rediscovered and re-championed by a new generation of winemakers. As the country with the largest area of vineyards in the world and the third-largest wine producer, Spain is shifting away from well-known wines such as Rioja, which accounts for around 40% of its wine exports. For those willing to look beyond Rioja, a world of exciting indigenous Spanish wines awaits, spanning 146 official wine regions and many unclassified rural producers.
I have poured over these wine regions and curated more than ten wines that I feel reflect the excitement of Spain’s wine revolution. We can discuss many more regions—or anything else about Spain that piques your interest!
We have red and white wines from iconic new-wave producers, sparkling wines that are not Cava, sweet wine from Málaga, delicious sherry, and a stunning rosé—a true snapshot of pioneering Spanish producers and exceptional wines offering outstanding value. Come and try them with us!
